"In 2023, Marion County Democrats raised more money, did more to support candidates than ever before, and worked hard to reach out to voters. We made waves," writes Cheri Scherr, acting chair of the Marion County Democrats.

"This is a two-part Caucus," Scherr adds. "The first is to acquire and send in your Presidential Preference Cards."

Presidential Preference Cards can be obtained at iowademocrats.org/caucus/.

"The second is a way to get involved at the grassroots level, and the only way to drive changes required to preserve our Democratic Republic," Scherr writes. "Together we can do more, starting right now. This presidential election year may set the future of our nation and our personal lives for decades to come. We encourage all Democrats who care for personal liberty and bodily autonomy, affordable healthcare for all, the integrity of our elections, fair wages, a strong middle class, and a livable planet to join us."

The Marion County Democrats are seeking new voices, fresh perspectives, and positive energy to move forward in 2024. This event is structured to hear from caucus attendees about their hopes for the future and identify new representation from Marion County residents and their neighborhoods.
