IHSAA changes baseball tournament

Knoxville —

The Iowa High School Athletic Association made some corrections to post season baseball tournament brackets.

One of the three brackets that was corrected involved Class 3A District 11 Baseball where that concerns the Knoxville Panthers.

It was reported in the Friday, July 6 Knoxville Journal-Express the Panthers will open post season baseball action against Class 3A No. 1 ranked Dallas Center-Grimes.

That no longer is the case. The Panthers will still host Class 3A District 11 Baseball and play against the Chariton Chargers Friday, July 13 at 7 p.m.

Pella and Centerville will play in Knoxville in a first round 3A District 11 contest at 5 p.m.

The two winners will meet in Knoxville Monday, July 16 at 7 p.m.
