Melcher-Dallas' Williams signs to play football for Graceland

Lamoni —

The football program and head coach Jeff Douglas have added another local athlete for the 2013 campaign.

Nick Williams, a 5'10" defense end/center, compiled an astounding high school athletic career at Melcher-Dallas High School under head coach Ryan Conrad.

As a Saint, Williams competed on not only the football team, but also contributed to the basketball, track and baseball squads. Beyond athletics, Nick was also a member of FBLA.

Williams will bring a number of accolades to Lamoni as he garnered first team all-district nominations in 2011 and 2012 and was also named academic all-district in 2011.

"Nick is bringing back a connection to a local school we haven't had in a while," said Douglas. "Another Melcher-Dallas Saint will be a GU Yellowjacket.

"He has been an all-district performer the last two seasons and we are very happy to have him as a part of our program."

Nick, the son of Sherri Williams, is currently undecided on a major for next fall. Congratulations, Nick, and welcome to the Graceland athletics family.
