Video: Pleasantville boys down Melcher-Dallas

Melcher-Dallas —  

The Pleasantville boys’ basketball team downed Melcher-Dallas 72-52 Tuesday, Nov. 27. The Trojans raced out to a 25-6 lead after one quarter of play. Pleasantville went on to lead 41-18 at the half, and 65-32 at the end of the third quarter.

Dylan Lauer scored 21 points in the first half to pace the Trojans. He finished the night with 23 points. Josh Luna led Pleasantville with 25 points. Trevor Zoss was also in double figures with 14 points.

Melcher-Dallas was led by Chase Wetterling’s 12 point effort. Troy Lee scored nine points. He was followed by Brock Breese with eight, and Nick Williams and Cody Alexander with six points each.

Kenneth Wadle, who averaged 20 points a game last season, was held to just four points by the Trojan defense. Ross Dawson got into early foul trouble and fouled out with just two points.
