Journal-Express offers live blog during State Wrestling

Knoxville — Live blogging will be available on the Journal-Express website, covering the State Wrestling Tournament. You can follow the action and progress of our local wrestlers here online. 

 

Headed to state from Knoxville are Jay Fresh (113), Lane Colwell  (145) and Tyler Chatterton (152).
 
One Melcher-Dallas student qualified for state as a member of the S.E. Warren wrestling squad in Class 1A.
 
The M-D student is Joshua Parker at (145). Parker was also a runner-up at his weight at the Greenfield Regional.
 
Trey Busick (132), of Pleasantville will also be headed to state as a champion at the Eddyville Class 1A Regional.
 
Other area wrestlers headed to state include in Class 2A the PCM (Monroe) Mustangs with four wrestlers advancing to Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines.
 
The Mustangs will send Dalton Kingery (126), Bryce Wignall (13*0, Zach Findlow (182) and Jake Tool (Hwt). All four Mustangs were district champions.

The blog, presented by Medicap Pharmacy and Pizza Hut, can be accessed at http://www.journalexpress.net/live beginning Thursday morning, Feb. 16, through the duration of the tournament.
