Knoxville — Members of Opera Iowa worked with the students of West Elementary this afternoon.

The children learned how to dance, sing and compose their own opera. Workshops were held in different classrooms until the performance of Sid the Serpent Who Wanted to Sing.

The professionals who visited the students shared their love of music and taught the students some of the tools of the trade.
