Twin Cedars McTeacher Night

Knoxville — From 5-7 p.m. Tuesday night, Twin Cedars High School Principal Dave Roby is working behind the counter at McDonald's, to help raise funds for the school's PTO and Athletic Boosters.

Through the program, known as "McTeacher Night," the Knoxville McDonald's is donating 20 percent of the revenue received inside the restaurant during those two hours. TCHS has previously participated this and raised $200.

TC classes are also having contests to see which class can bring in the most business. Teachers Trish McCarty and Carrie Micetich were checking people in as they came in for dinner. Within 15 minutes of the event's beginning, there had been 16 students visit.

Cara VanSteenis, Owner of the Knoxville McDonald's, said she is glad the restaurant is able to help Twin Cedars.
