Congressman Dave Loebsack today praised the announcement from the Veterans Administration (VA) that the Secretary of the VA has approved a new Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Knoxville. Loebsack has been pushing the VA and working with the Mayor of Knoxville to establish the CBOC.
“This is a significant step forward for the City of Knoxville and Iowa veterans who deserve access to top quality health care,” said Loebsack. “I will continue to work hard with the Knoxville community to ensure that the CBOC moves forward as quickly as possible and that the focus remains best serving our veterans. I also want to thank Mayor Zoutte for his leadership on moving a new CBOC forward for our veterans.”
With approval by the Secretary, selection of a site for the CBOC, design, and the bidding process will now be able to move forward.
