Marion County — Poll sites have seen some high numbers today, even though over 8,500 Marion County voters submitted absentee ballots.
Around 1:30 this afternoon, Knoxville City Hall had 170 voters come through. To start the day, there was a long line, but things had steadied throughout the day.
Knoxville's School Administration building had 161 voters around 2 p.m. Things had gone very slow, as 430 voters for that precinct had submitted absentee ballots.
In Pleasantville, around 2:24 p.m., there had been 473 voters come through the line at the Memorial Hall. Like Knoxville City Hall, there was a long line as polls opened, and occasional lines throughout the day, but no long waits for voters. One of the poll workers said that number was high for an election.
