Teresa “Jeannie” Knight, 58, passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012, with her family by her side, at Prime Nursing and Rehabilitation in Des Moines. She was born Nov. 14, 1953, in Des Moines, to Richard and Catherine (Carroll) Knight.

Jeannie enjoyed bowling, her pool league and trying new things. She loved watching movies, cooking and baking, and always made pumpkin pies at Christmas time. Jeannie was a wonderful grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.

Jeannie is survived by her son, Ryan Knight; daughter, Amanda (David) Beery; granddaughters, Morgan Beery and Maritza Knight-Beery; siblings, Carol (Dewaine) Ritchhart, Michael (Mary) Knight, Linda (Fred) Jennart, Catherine (James) Bale, Rosanne McMains, Mary (Tom) Hardie, John (Mary) Knight, and Judy (Clayton) Crosby. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Patricia Grumko and Evelyn Drummondo.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Teresa.
