Franklin Roy Harrison was born June 1, 1945, the son of Albert and Maggie (Belt) Harrison in Council Bluffs. He passed away, at the age of 67, after a long battle with cancer at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

After serving time in the Army, he wed Elizabeth Sharp, and from that 22-year marriage he was blessed with six daughters.

He then received his degree from Lutheran College and began his career as a social worker for the state of Nebraska.

In October 2001, Frank met his soulmate, Riki, and eight wonderful years later, they got married. They resided in Council Bluffs.

Frank is survived by his husband Riki of Council Bluffs, Kandy (Brad) Neer of Des Moines, Sherri Carter, Shelli Harrison, Genni (Bob) Eaglin, and Franky Mendenhall, all of Knoxville, and Bobbi Jo (Chad) Weltikol of Fremont, Neb., 12 grandchildren and five great grandchildren and four more on the way.

Frank was preceded in death by his loving mother, Maggie Christenson, and granddaughters Virginia Eaglin and Shelby Mendenhall.

Memorial Services will be held Sept. 22 at 2 p.m., at the 4-H Bingley Building on the Marion County Fairgrounds.
