Frances Caroline Scott was born Feb. 1, 1924, in Stanton, Iowa, the daughter of Carl Magnus Peterson and Emily Hannah Otelia (Malmberg) Peterson.
She graduated from Stanton High School and then worked in Red Oak at JC Penney. She later moved to Atlantic, Iowa, where she was employed as a secretary at Larson & Lowers a local implement dealer. She was also a 50-year member of the Eastern Star.
In their spare time, Frances and Bill enjoyed traveling, especially to see family in her father’s native land of Sweden. Frances loved entertaining in her home for friends and particularly for family during holidays. Her dogs Schnappy (there were four) were devoted companions, and an important part of Frances’ life. Frances will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, aunt, neighbor and friend by her family and the Knoxville community.
