Sherman “Bud” Robbins

Sherman “Bud” Robbins, 83, of Melcher-Dallas passed away, Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Mahaska County Hospital in Oskaloosa.

Bud was born in Des Moines to Charles and Goldie (Wall) Robbins Sr. on Aug. 14, 1929. Bud married Mary (DeDe) DuQuette on Sept. 6, 1950. Bud was a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed playing games, playing guitar, singing, playing craps at the casino, tractor rides and time spent with his family.

Survivors include: granddaughter; Nikki Robinson of New Sharon, two great grandchildren: Caleb Robinson, Madison Robinson, both of New Sharon, many nieces and nephews. Preceding Bud was his wife: Mary E. Robbins, two children: Donna Lee Robbins, Sherman Rutherford Robbins Jr., five siblings: Fred, Jack, Cline, Charles Robbins and Leona Mae Smith.

A Funeral Service was held Monday, March 18, 2013, at Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Melcher-Dallas. Interment was in Dallas Cemetery immediately following the service. Memorials may be given to the family.
