ISEA endorses Suhr

Touts other endorsements

Knoxville — Iowa State Education Association (ISEA) has endorsed Megan Suhr for Iowa House.  Suhr is running to represent District 28, which covers portions of Jasper, Marion and Lucas counties.  ISEA prides itself on endorsing candidates that will support the local school districts and carry their concerns to the State Legislature.  Suhr has two children in the Knoxville Community School District. Suhr understands the educational concerns as well as the need for funding, and will work closely with the educational leaders in the House.

Suhr received an endorsement from Planned Parenthood of the Heartland.  Having worked in reproductive healthcare for young women for nearly 20 years, Suhr has the experience to lead in the legislature to protect the rights of Iowa’s young men and women.  Suhr will be a leader in working to ensure there is access to reproductive health care, education and advocacy within the State.

Suhr’s latest endorsement comes from A Brotherhood Aimed Towards Education (ABATE of Iowa).  Over the years, ABATE has been important in continuing to protect riders freedoms.  Suhr will continue to protect the freedoms ABATE members share.

Suhr has also received numerous endorsements from Labor, including:  Laborers’ Internationals Union of North America Local #177 and #353, South Central Iowa Federation of Labor, Great Plains Laborers’ District Council, International Union of Operating Engineers, Iowa Federation of Labor, Central Iowa Building and Construction Trades, Operative Plasterers’ and Cement Masons’ International Association. She has also received endorsements from AFL-CIO, as well as ASCFME.

“I’m excited and honored to receive the endorsements from these organizations.  I’m working towards being the best Representative within the district, and this latest group of endorsements reflects my intention to represent everyone with various concerns,” says Suhr.
