M-D FFA does well at subdistricts

The Melcher-Dallas FFA participated in a sub-district contest on Feb. 19 in Corydon. Results are as follows:

• Mady Riebhoff earned Gold in Public Speaking and advanced to district.

• Jacob Clark earned Silver in Ag Broadcasting and advanced to district.

• Jordan Moreno earned Silver in the Job Interview category.

• The Chapter quiz team - Hannah Wilson, Waylon Balk, Ty Schneider and Mady Riebhoff - earned Silver.

• Hunter Hildebrand earned Bronze in Creed.

Welding results for Ty Schneider and Waylon Balk were unavailable as of press time.

  • Rowland and Knox are perfect again

    On Saturday, May 18, the Knoxville Police K-9 Unit participated in the annual Midwest K-9 Detector Dog Trials in Adel. Officers  Rowland and Knox successfully certified with a perfect 4 out of 4 score. This is the fifth consecutive year that the Knoxville K-9 Unit has achieved a perfect score.

  • Avenue of Flags Memorial Day Flag Raising

    Flags will be raised at Graceland Cemetery at 8 a.m. Friday, May 24. There will be a brief memorial tribute at the Veterans' Plot after the flag raising.
