More time needed for EUL

James Washington of the Knoxville Veterans Alliance (KVA) reported Wednesday morning that the time needed to complete the Enhanced Use Lease (EUL) for the Knoxville VA campus will go beyond the anticipated Sept. 30 deadline.

The KVA was awarded the right to enter into a 75-year lease for the 163-acre, 39-building campus last year. Washington and the VA were hopeful the EUL would be completed by the end of the federal fiscal year (Sept. 30). Ongoing negotiations and the finalizing of necessary documents have required the time frame to go beyond that date.
