Knoxville —
The Marion County Attorney’s Office is pleased to announce that it has been awarded an educational scholarship to attend the Nation Drug Endangered Children’s Conference to be held in Des Moines Oct. 23-25. In addition to the County Attorney, officers from the Pella Police Department and the Knoxville Police Department will be able to attend at no cost to their departments.
"It is a tremendous honor to be receive the ODCP scholarship," Marion County Attorney Ed Bull commented. "I look forward to being able to attend the annual conference at no expense to the Marion County taxpayers. It has always been my desire to establish a DEC protocol in this County to better facilitate communication between the Department of Human Services and Law Enforcement for the benefit of our communities’ children. It is my belief that by attending this conference we will be able to start an effective program in 2013."
