Didn't like column

Knoxville —

To the editor:

I am really trying to be civil about this, but it is hard. The "In the house of wood" column in the August 3 J-E is disappointing to say the best and disgusting to say the worst. The author disavows his interest in the Olympics and then proceeds for two columns to castigate everything left of his right wing political focus. Are we ever going to have a balanced editorial that makes some common sense? I doubt it.
