To the editor:
On behalf of the Stepping Stones 5K Stroll Committee, I would like to thank the community of Knoxville for their continued support. We held our 5K Stroll on Saturday, October 10, usually touting beautiful fall foliage while strolling though Marion County Park. Even with our “snowy” weather we had approximately 100 walkers, runners, crawlers and four legged dogs! We want to thank all of the businesses that supported our cause helping us make over $7,000. A special thank you to Knoxville Journal Express, KNIA/KRLS Radio and Vermeer for their generous donations. It really does take a village to raise a child and I am glad to be part of a caring and supportive village! Thank you Knoxville!
