Response to gun control letter 1

Knoxville —

To the editor:
I would like to respond to the letter by Myrna Loehrlein, President, League of Women Voters of Iowa and anyone else calling for stricter gun laws. I respect your opinions but I firmly disagree.
A law abiding citizen carrying a gun is not a threat. They are merely exercising their right to bear arms.
Myself, along with hundreds of thousands of military men and women, have served this great nation so that we all may retain this and all of our rights as American citizens. Many have given their lives.
We have all heard "Guns don't kill people, people kill people" and it’s true. I would like to share something that I read the other day. “If guns kill people, then pencils misspell words, cars drive drunk and spoons make people fat.”
REMEMBER : HOLD THE PERSON ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTION, NOT THE MEANS THEY CHOSE TO UTILIZE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
