Students show off inventions

Knoxville — For two days this week, the Northstar Elementary gym took on the feeling of a World's Fair. 

On Monday, third grade students had their opportunity to showcase their inventions at their Invent, Iowa competition. This morning was the fourth grade's turn.

    The Knoxville School District has not made significant changes to its code of conduct policy regarding standards for participation in sports and other extracurricular activities since 2000. Following an incident earlier this year, which led to an appeal to the State Board of Education, the policy is being amended. The Knoxville School Board made more suggestions for changes at Monday's regular meeting.
