Knoxville — For two days this week, the Northstar Elementary gym took on the feeling of a World's Fair.
On Monday, third grade students had their opportunity to showcase their inventions at their Invent, Iowa competition. This morning was the fourth grade's turn.

Knoxville seniors receive scholarships
The Knoxville Chapter of Dollars For Scholars distributed $48,275 in scholarships to 83 members of the Knoxville High School Class of 2012 at an assembly Wednesday night.
Auditorium bids come in over $5 million
Bonds to pay for the Knoxville High School auditorium, to be repaid through anticipated local option sales and services tax revenue, are expected to be sold on Wednesday.

Board discusses code of conduct policy
The Knoxville School District has not made significant changes to its code of conduct policy regarding standards for participation in sports and other extracurricular activities since 2000. Following an incident earlier this year, which led to an appeal to the State Board of Education, the policy is being amended. The Knoxville School Board made more suggestions for changes at Monday's regular meeting.

Seven students were inducted into the Twin Cedars High School chapter of National Honor Society Monday night.
