CENTERVILLE —
Two vital pieces to the Appanoose County Fairgrounds were destroyed in a early Monday morning fire.
A 911 call at approximately 2:50 a.m. Monday morning reported a fire in the horse barn and show arena at the fairgrounds. When the Centerville Fire Department arrived, they found both buildings heavily consumed by fire, a press release released Monday said.
The fire department had the fire under control within 35 minutes of arriving, the press release said.
The fire is currently being investigated.
