Oskaloosa construction trades class seeks bids

OSKALOOSA — The Oskaloosa School Board voted to advertise and accept bids for the Construction Trades class home located on South M Street at its meeting Tuesday evening.

“We’ve had a really good response,” Superintendent Russ Reiter told the School Board. Four or five people have toured the home, he added.

The School Board voted to receive bids and set a date for acceptance of the bids. The date is 9 a.m. on Oct. 5, Board Secretary Chad Vink said.

“What is the fair market value for a minimum bid?” Board member Nik Rule asked.

Reiter said he and Construction Trades instructor David Bower discussed a number — about $165,000.
