Celebrations
  • Rowland and Knox are perfect again

    On Saturday, May 18, the Knoxville Police K-9 Unit participated in the annual Midwest K-9 Detector Dog Trials in Adel. Officers  Rowland and Knox successfully certified with a perfect 4 out of 4 score. This is the fifth consecutive year that the Knoxville K-9 Unit has achieved a perfect score.

  • Avenue of Flags Memorial Day Flag Raising

    Flags will be raised at Graceland Cemetery at 8 a.m. Friday, May 24. There will be a brief memorial tribute at the Veterans' Plot after the flag raising.

    The Pleasantville Legion is hosting a breakfast tomorrow morning, Saturday, May 18, with a special plan for the proceeds. Legion members have set a goal to create and mount plaques honoring those from the Pleasantville School District who gave their lives in service to their country.
