Pella Historical Village features special displays
Pella — Several special displays have been created for the 29th annual Christmas Walk through Pella Historical Village, 507 Franklin Street.
A Hummel nativity scene is on display in Heritage Hall. The Delft nativity is a focal point in the Birdsall Delft Room.
A collection of Sinterklaas figures and traditional Sinterklaas items from the Netherlands will be on display in the Hindeloopen niche upstairs in Heritage hall along with replicas of antique Sinterklaas cookie boards.
Sheryl Newendorp and helpers from the Work of Our Hands Gift Shop have decorated one room.
Christmas Walk is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily; closed on Sundays and holidays. The dates of the 2009 Christmas Walk are Nov. 14 through Dec. 31.
Enjoy a holiday celebration as you visit the Historical Village. Twenty buildings are lavishly decorated for the holidays by Historical Society volunteers. The Vermeer Windmill is part of the tour.
Admission is $8 for adults and $2 for students K-12; Pella Historical Society members are admitted free.
