MCCF donates to Pleasantville FFA Alumni

Pleasantville —

The Pleasantville FFA Alumni received a $2,000matching grant from Marion County Community Foundation.  The group plans to purchase two bulk tank feed bins to be used for individual projects as well as a group feeding program.  Along with that the bins will have viewing windows to be used as an educational project for Farm Safety.

FFA Members every year put on different demonstration which have been held at the Sutter Family Farms for many years.  With the help from the Alumni, the goal is to move it to their own FFA/Ag Livestock Teaching Farm.

The Alumni's goal is to provide educational opportunities to all students. The group wishes to thank the Marion County Community Foundation.

An open house is being planned at the teaching farm on Sept. 23. Look for more details in the Journal-Express as they become available.
