Knoxville — This afternoon, the Knoxville Ambassadors took part in four separate ribbon cutting ceremonies, honoring new and improved downtown businesses.
As we've reported, Nanjotronics Radio Shack, 204 East Robinson, recently underwent a major renovation. This included new fixtures, carpet, paint and more. Radio Shack is serving hot dogs tonight (Thursday, April 12) at 5 p.m.
Next door, 206 East Robinson, The Center on the Square is celebrating its grand opening. The Center provides additional workspace and a professional atmosphere for those who need it. A conference room and call center are additional features. For more information, visit http://www.thecenteronthesquare.com
On the other side of the square, 209 East Main, Elsie Kemp is starting a new venture known as the Main Street Market. The Main Street Market incorporates the existing Chic Boutique, and offers opportunities for other vendors to peddle their wares. There are approximately one dozen who have space inside the market, each with different specialties.
Down the street, 113 East Main, Carolyn Formanek has started a new business venture known as Founders, next to Larry Formanek's Chiropractic Center. Founders vendors include Glitter, Giggles and Gifts; Ramaeker Screen Printing; Holly's Hobby; Plethora and All About Pies.
